Yard Foreman

Job Description

Reports directly to the Branch Manager and indirectly to the Office Manager and the Company Director of Operations. Supervises 5 to 8 employees, oversees the loading and unloading of scaffold material following all operating and safety procedures.

Primary Duties Include

Provide leadership to manage the work activities of direct reports
Monitoring inventory levels and reporting when quantities are low or high
Provide for timely and accurate pickup and delivery of scaffolding inventory to fulfill customer expectations
Inspection of material before shipped and upon return
Taking pictures and documenting all material loads before shipping or unloading
Documenting and reporting all damaged material returns
Make sure that all company yard equipment (forklifts, dollies, etc.) are maintained
Supervise training of all new yard employees and update training of employees as needed
Possess high school diploma or general equivalent
Requires 2 to 5 years operations management experience
Proficient in English and basic math
Requires the ability to think critically and problem solve
Organize work schedule and prioritize work to meet shifting priorities during workday or week
Requires excellent oral and written, skills to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and personnel at other branch offices
